Job summary

SSA Recruitment's client is seeking an experienced EHS Leader for a major Life Science / Pharma manufacturer in Ireland. The role is site-based in Dublin and is a full-time permanent position with a salary between €85,000 and €95,000 plus bonus and benefits.

You will manage the existing EHS team and report to the Health & Safety Director, driving environmental, health & safety programs in accordance with government regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in EHS, with management experience in a Pharma/Life Sciences setting.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with government regulations and company standards.
• Drive creation and rollout of accurate EHS procedures and training materials.
• Coordinate internal EHS auditing and inspections and track actions to closure.
• Ensure contractor management complies with legislation and company standards.
• Manage technical activities to progress projects and investigations.

Main Duties

• Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and values.
• Driving effective writing/revising/rolling out of accurate operational procedures, training materials and EHS related procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct internal EHS auditing and inspection ensuring actions are tracked to closure.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with legislation and company technical standards regarding contractor management.
• Managing technical activities to progress projects and investigations.

Qualifications

• Relevant EHS Qualification.
• 5+ years experience in EHS, and management experience in a Pharma Setting / Life Sciences.
• Full Clean Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication skills.
