Job summary

Designer Group is seeking an experienced Building Services Business Unit EHS Lead to provide Environmental, Health & Safety leadership across the Building Services operations. You will work with senior operations leadership to embed EHS requirements into delivery across complex mechanical and electrical projects.

This senior role focuses on compliance, safety culture, risk management and continuous improvement, reporting to the Business Unit Director of Operations with escalation to the Group

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS leadership experience in construction, engineering, M&E or building services environments.
• A third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Recognised professional EHS accreditations such as IOSH.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership across the Building Services project portfolio.
• Coordinate and support project-based EHS professionals.
• Embed EHS requirements within operational delivery and project planning.
• Maintain and improve EHS management systems, policies and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and company standards.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Engage with clients, regulators and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
• Monitor EHS performance with KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
