EHS International is seeking a Senior Safety Consultant to join a weighty team in the Irish EHS market. Based in Cork or Dublin, you will manage your own caseload, guide complex safety matters, and lead engagements across sectors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a safety consultancy or senior in-house safety role.
• Breadth across multiple sectors and project types, not a single-industry focus.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Safety, Health & Environment (Diploma/Degree).
• Chartered status (CMIOSH) or working toward it preferred.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on complex safety matters to clients and internally.
• Lead safety consultancy engagements across multiple sectors and project types.
• Support and mentor other EHS consultants.
• Review high-risk or high-complexity safety assessments and reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Stay current on regulatory change and translate into practical client guidance.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, standards and best practice.
• Display excellent risk assessment, auditing, investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Provide practical, commercially focused safety advice to clients.
• Communicate clearly and manage stakeholder expectations at all levels.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and understand operational needs.
• Adopt a strategic, solutions-focused approach with continuous improvement.
• Be self-motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple client priorities.
• Work independently while contributing to the wider consultancy team.
