Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Senior EHS Officer to ensure safe delivery of large-scale construction projects in Ireland. You will promote safety culture on-site, ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

The role includes inspections, investigations and driving continuous improvement on flagship projects. You will mentor junior EHS staff, guide site management on EHS matters and liaise with authorities, clients and auditors while delivering training to site teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar EHS role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and large-scale construction projects.
• Senior or lead EHS experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards on large construction projects are met.
• Promote a strong safety culture on-site and ensure compliance.
• Support EHS Manager with site inspections, investigations and improvement.
• Mentor junior EHS staff and advise site management on EHS matters.
• Liaise with authorities, clients and auditors and deliver EHS training.
