Job summary

Verto People, Ltd. in Denmark is seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to lead Environment, Health and Safety across project activities. You will support project teams, implement EHS plans and RAMS, and drive continuous improvement in safety and compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in a similar EHS position within construction or engineering, with NFQ 8 in OHS and NFQ 6 in Environmental Management. ISO 14001/45001 auditing experience and IOSH membership are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar EHS role within the construction or engineering sector
• Diploma to NFQ Level 8 in Occupational Health & Safety
• Certificate to NFQ Level 6 in Environmental Management
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 auditing
• IOSH membership or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance, support and instruction on all EHS matters to management, safety representatives, employees, subcontractors, suppliers and visitors where applicable
• Support project teams with the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems, plans, risk assessments and associated documentation
• Carry out audits, inspections and reviews, identifying corrective and preventative actions to improve EHS performance
• Prepare and report on EHS risks, KPIs, trends, incidents and improvement opportunities
• Support incident investigations, identify root causes and assist with corrective and preventative action plans
• Ensure project EHS documentation, including safety plans and RAMS, remains current and compliant
• Deliver EHS training and information to site teams using appropriate training methods
• Attend project meetings, safety meetings and EHS coordination meetings as required

Senior EHS Advisor

A Senior EHS Advisor is required to provide Environment, Health and Safety leadership and guidance across project activities, supporting project teams to maintain high standards of compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

This role is open to EU or UK residents with the relevant experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, supervisors, workers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to coordinate day-to-day EHS requirements and promote a proactive safety culture.

The Senior EHS Advisor Role:

Senior EHS Advisor Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar EHS role within the construction or engineering sector
• Experience working with Electrical, Mechanical and CSA activities is preferred
• Diploma to NFQ Level 8 in Occupational Health & Safety
• Certificate to NFQ Level 6 in Environmental Management
• Experience with construction regulations, CDM roles and subcontractor management
• Experience with EHS management systems, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 auditing
• Strong knowledge of legislation, standards, guidance and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce reports, deliver presentations and provide clear guidance
• Ability to coordinate incident investigations and apply root cause analysis techniques
• IOSH membership or equivalent
