Job summary

Egis is a leading global engineering and consultancy firm delivering climate-resilient infrastructure in Ireland. We are seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead drainage design on major civil projects and guide junior staff across water, wastewater, and transportation schemes.

The role requires expertise in drainage design, flow estimation, catchment analysis and culvert design per CIRIA, OPW Section 50, with proficiency in MicroDrainage, HEC-RAS and CulvertMaster.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage network design across pipework, surface water channels, gullies and attenuation.
• Experience in flow estimation and catchment analysis.
• Experience in culvert design to CIRIA guidance and OPW Section 50 applications.
• Knowledge of the TII drainage publications, DMURS and the SuDS manual.

Responsibilities

• Act as drainage lead on projects and provide updates to Clients.
• Design drainage networks including pipework, surface water channels, gullies and attenuation systems.
• Mentor and support junior staff on drainage design tasks.
• Ensure compliance with TII, DMURS and CIRIA guidance on drainage schemes.
