Job summary

Egis Ireland, Cork, is seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our Development Infrastructure team. You will contribute to planning, design and delivery of residential and commercial developments across Ireland, working with senior engineers and project teams to advance high-profile private sector projects.

Candidate should have strong drainage and infrastructure design experience, proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, and be prepared to liaise with authorities and clients across the

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant civil engineering experience.
• Experience in foul and surface water drainage design.
• Experience in watermain design.
• Experience using MicroDrainage or equivalent software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel to sites in Cork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Design foul water, surface water and watermain networks.
• Produce drainage strategies, calculations and drawings.
• Prepare design reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support planning, tender and construction-stage project activities.
• Develop detailed designs using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Undertake drainage network modelling using MicroDrainage or similar software.
• Produce high-quality engineering drawings and BIM-compatible outputs where required.
• Maintain drawing and design quality standards.
• Liaise with local authorities, Uisce Éireann and other project stakeholders.
