Job summary

Egis is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to lead drainage design on major infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will drive water and drainage strategy, assess flows and catchments, and mentor junior engineers within multidisciplinary teams across Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and beyond.

The role requires experience with TII/DMURS/SuDS, CIRIA culvert design, and advanced modelling tools such as MicroDrainage, HEC-RAS, and CulvertMaster. Flexible posting across several Irish offices is offered.

Qualifications

Experience in drainage network design across pipework, surface water channels, gullies and attenuation systems.
Experience in flow estimation and catchment analysis.
Experience in culvert design to CIRIA guidance and OPW Section 50 applications.
Knowledge of TII drainage publications, Greater Dublin Regional Code of Practice for Drainage Works, DMURS and the SuDS manual.

Responsibilities

Act as the drainage lead on projects, with responsibility to clients and guidance to junior staff.
Provide design leadership across drainage aspects and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Contribute to project technical excellence in wider civil engineering deliverables.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver faultless drainage strategies on schemes.
