Job summary

McGregor Boyall is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Technical Delivery Management to join its Ireland team in Dublin. This is a senior, hands-on technology delivery leadership role, working with delivery, account management, product, architecture, technology consulting and engineering.

The role leads large-scale technology programmes for major clients, especially in Financial Services, combining client-facing strategy with delivery excellence, pre-sales support and cross-team coordination

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Proven senior technology delivery leader overseeing large-scale, complex programmes.
Strong background in software engineering, technology delivery or solution architecture.
Significant Banking/Financial Services experience, digital/mobile banking platforms.
Knowledge of open banking APIs, payment systems and mobile wallet integrations.
Familiarity with PSD2, GDPR and PCI-DSS security frameworks.
Experience with serverless architectures (AWS/Azure/Firebase/Supabase).
Ability to build trusted client relationships from engineering teams to C-suite.
Ability to translate business objectives into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Take overall accountability for end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology programmes.
Establish clear client and internal expectations with strong communication.
Bridge business and technical requirements across diverse teams.
Provide hands-on leadership to foster collaboration and improvement.
Act as trusted technology advisor to senior client stakeholders.
Coordinate multiple workstreams: scoping, resourcing, budgeting, delivery.
Ensure quality, timelines and consistency across engagements.
Lead planning: estimation, delivery planning, retrospectives.
Identify and mitigate delivery risks and escalation paths.
Support pre-sales: client proposals, solution design, roadmaps, SOWs.
