Job summary

Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with a leading aircraft leasing firm in Dublin to appoint a Director Internal Controls. Reporting to the CFO, the role designs, implements and manages group compliance, internal controls and risk management.

Responsibilities include SOX leadership, control governance, process ownership and executive reporting on control effectiveness. The ideal candidate has ACA/ACCA and 10+ years in relevant disciplines, with 5+ years PQE in aviation finance

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with ACA or ACCA
• Minimum 5+ years PQE in controls/audit/compliance
• 10+ years in compliance, internal controls, governance, risk management or related fields
• Experience in Aircraft Leasing or Aviation Finance preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with Shareholder Legal & Compliance.
• Coordinate quarterly Risk Check Sheets and annual Compliance Risk Assessments.
• Manage annual compliance reporting obligations and certifications.
• Lead SOX compliance, Business Process Governance and Internal Controls.
• Own and maintain Company Business Processes and control narratives.
• Establish governance for process changes, system implementations and org changes.
• Maintain risk-control matrices, narratives, and flowcharts.
• Coordinate annual risk assessments and control evaluations.
• Track remediation plans and monitor closure of deficiencies.
• Provide executive reporting on SOX compliance status and control effectiveness.
• Coordinate audit planning, fieldwork, and responses.
• Maintain enterprise audit issue logs and remediation tracking.
