Job summary

Peamount Healthcare in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, seeks a Permanent, full-time Senior Dietitian to join the Dietetics team. The role is 35 hours per week, fully onsite, with an option for part-time at 17.5 hours per week at the department head's discretion.

Salary ranges from €65,197 to €76,767 per year, with annual leave in line with the Health Service Executive. Reporting to the Dietitian Manager, the post will coordinate and deliver a high-quality nutrition and dietetic service, combining

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To work with in collaboration with the dietitian manager, dietitian colleagues, HSCP’s and healthcare staff in Peamount Healthcare to ensure the coordination, development and delivery of a quality, person centered nutrition and dietetic service to meet the needs of service users and the objectives of the organisation that is in keeping with best practice and standards. The senior dietitian will be responsible for the provision and delivery of a high quality nutrition and dietetic service within the designated clinical area and will carry out clinical, educational, leadership and administrative duties as required.

POINT ON SALARY SCALE

New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale *exceptions may apply for the below grades, provided proof of recognised service is submitted by VOS

• *Clinical and Therapy Grades and Staff Nurses*: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
