Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting a Staff Grade Dietitian to join an Adult Acute Service serving Kildare and Wicklow. You will assess nutritional needs across community and residential settings and develop evidence-based care plans.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver dietary advice for multiple conditions, maintain documentation, and pursue ongoing clinical supervision and development. CORU registration and Dietetics qualification required.

• Excellent communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills.
• CORU registration is required.
• Recognised qualification in Dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage the nutritional needs of adult service users across community and residential settings.
• Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans based on best practice and clinical evidence.
• Provide dietary advice for a broad range of conditions and manage malnutrition and chronic diseases.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to support holistic care.
• Educate and support patients, families and staff to promote optimal nutritional care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development.

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting a Staff Grade Dietitian to join a supportive Adult Acute Service covering Kildare and Wicklow.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with adults across community and residential settings, delivering evidence-based nutritional assessment and intervention to a diverse caseload. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and improving health outcomes for adults with a range of complex nutritional needs.

The Role

• Assess, diagnose, and manage the nutritional needs of adult service users across community and residential settings.
• Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans based on best practice and clinical evidence.
• Provide dietary advice for a broad range of conditions, including malnutrition, chronic disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological conditions, and older persons’ care.
• Work collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate and support patients, families, carers, and healthcare staff to promote optimal nutritional care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Dietetics.
• CORU registration.
• Previous experience working with adult caseloads is desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Full driver’s licence and access to a car is desirable.
