This permanent, onsite role is 35 hours per week with a clear salary scale of €45,514 to €65,068 and reporting to the Speech & Language Therapy Manager.   • Hours of Work – 35 Hours – the allocation of these hours will be at the discretion of the Department Head and in accordance with needs of service

  • Remuneration - *Current salary scale with effect from 1st June 2026: €45,514 (point 1) to €65,068 (point 14).
  • Annual Leave - As per Health Service Executive (HSE)
  • Proposed Interview Date - To be confirmed - At least 1 weeks’ notice will be provided. Shortlisted candidates are expected to make themselves available.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

To provide a quality Speech & Language Therapy Service to those who present with communication difficulties and / or eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties, as appropriate.

POINT ON SCALE

New appointees coming from the private sector will be placed on the minimum point of the scale (*exceptions may apply for the below grades, provided proof of recognised service is submitted by VOS)

  • *Clinical and Therapy Grades and Staff Nurses*: Incremental credit may be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011) in the Civil Service, local authorities, public service, health service and other public service bodies and statutory agencies.
