Job summary

CPL in Ireland is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to optimize a secure cloud platform powering a global POS system. You’ll automate, scale, and secure deployments while collaborating with engineering to deliver high-quality software in weekly sprints.

The role requires 8–10 years of DevOps experience, strong cloud infrastructure knowledge (GCP/AWS), and expertise across Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and related tooling. Join a fast-paced team solving complex, high-volume transaction challenges.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of demonstrable DevOps engineering experience.
• Experience in automation and transformation.
• Experience in designing and developed for cloud based microservices.
• Experience in Cloud infrastructure with GCP, AWS cloud providers.
• Solid communication skills to present ideas across teams and clients.
• Experience with the full software engineering lifecycle.

Senior DevOps Engineer

You'll work on a POS system that touches almost every corner of the globe. Our client's systems process millions of transactions per day. This is only possible with a secure and efficient cloud platform.

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
• Design, implement and manage ephemeral development environments.
• Manage various Microservices platforms.
• Automate and maintain software delivery workflows using CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software platforms needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
• Collaborate and follow agile tools and principles in building high-quality software with weekly sprints.
• Expertly designing and implementing scalable, distributed, fault tolerant systems that satisfy complex requirements.
• Designing and implementing best practices for software development which include security, monitoring, and telemetry.
