Job summary

Lumen Search Ltd. is seeking a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator to support large-scale residential developments during construction.

You will be the central point for design matters on live projects, ensuring coordination, technical robustness, buildability and alignment with programme requirements. Working with the Head of Design Management, you will manage design queries, submissions, drawing coordination and BCAR compliance, chair coordination meetings, oversee document control,

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience – 3 years in Residential design.
• Good understanding of BCAR processes and Irish Building Regulations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and consultant packages.
• Strong document control and technical coordination skills.
• Ability to manage RFIs, technical submissions and drawing revisions.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and CDE platforms; Zutec experience advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as central point of contact for all design-related matters on live projects.
• Chair design coordination meetings and oversee document control.
• Coordinate design submissions and BCAR compliance throughout construction.
• Resolve on-site design clashes and support value-driven construction solutions.
• Maintain quality and programme certainty through effective design management.
