Job summary

Ward Personnel partners with a leading family-owned international construction and engineering group to recruit a Senior Design Manager for a major project in the Ireland East region. The role leads design across pre-construction and construction, coordinating with clients, design teams and operations to ensure compliant, buildable solutions.

You will manage design information, drive DfMA and innovative design solutions, mentor junior designers, and travel within the region between site, office

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in construction or related field.
• Minimum of 6–10 years’ experience in design management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes and contract administration (D&B, NEC, JCT).

Responsibilities

• Lead design management across pre-construction and construction.
• Coordinate with client, designers, and in-house teams to ensure buildable, compliant designs.
• Drive design information production, control and distribution per project stage.
• Promote innovation in design management and compliant processes.
• Mentor junior design staff and coordinate design teams.
