Job summary

Design Build Search, Dublin, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations on residential projects, reporting to the Construction Director and ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, sustainability and quality.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, at least 7 years of construction management experience, and proven ability to lead teams, manage design processes, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of Construction Management experience.
• Experience on residential projects.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements, scope objectives and report effectively.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a Design Task Leader or Project Manager on live jobs.
• Managing the design process.
• Supervise construction of projects and ensure execution aligns with works specifications.
• Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Line management of a team of engineers and project staff.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff to reach potential including chartered status for graduates.
• Developing proposals for new commissions.

Job description

Design Build Search are working with a leading developer in Dublin. Due to ongoing works and a strong pipeline, they have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. The successful applicant will oversee the day to day running of the site. Within this position you will work closely with the Construction Director to ensure their projects are delivered highest standard, emphasising safety, sustainability and quality.

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Construction Management including previous project management experience
• Previous experience on residential projects
• Self-motivated with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements, scope objectives and report effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Excellent leadership skills and Be able to Demonstrate Mentoring Experience of Junior Teams
• Be able to Demonstrate Understanding of BIM and Digital Construction Technologies
• Highly Proficient IT Skills & be able to demonstrate Innovation Skills
• Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff and sub-contractors.
