Job summary

Resmed in Ireland is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, optimize, and scale high-performance database platforms across MongoDB, AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora, and Kubernetes-based deployments. This hybrid role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure data services.

You'll work across cloud-native environments, implement efficient data models, and drive ongoing improvements in performance, security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with MongoDB architecture, development and operations.
• Hands-on AWS RDS and Aurora administration experience.
• Proficient in Kubernetes-based deployments (EKS).
• Strong data security and disaster recovery knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance MongoDB solutions.
• Optimize AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora environments for performance and cost.
• Support deployments in EKS (Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with devs to create efficient data models and indexing.
• Manage schema versioning with GitHub and Flyway.
• Monitor health with CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across databases.
• Strengthen security and disaster recovery readiness.
• Assist migrations across relational platforms.
