Job summary

Resmed is building data foundations for life-changing healthcare technology. As a Senior Database Developer, you will design, optimize, and scale high-performance databases supporting mission-critical systems, working across MongoDB, AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora, and cloud-native environments.

This hybrid role involves collaborating with developers and database specialists to ensure reliability, security, and disaster recovery readiness, while driving performance improvements and efficient data models.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing MongoDB architectures for high-demand workloads.
• Hands-on administration of AWS RDS and Aurora environments.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes-based deployments (EKS) and containerized apps.
• Familiarity with GitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance MongoDB solutions for complex workloads.
• Manage and optimize AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Support deployments and orchestration within EKS environments.
• Collaborate with dev teams to model data effectively and optimize queries.
• Version database schemas using GitHub and Flyway.
• Monitor health with native tooling, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across DB environments.
• Strengthen data security, disaster recovery readiness, and compliance.
