Job summary

Amazon Aurora is a core AWS database service built to scale across thousands of servers worldwide, delivering high performance and availability. This role involves hands-on design and development of significant system software components for cloud database services, with mentorship and leadership responsibilities.

You will work on distributed database systems, shaping architecture, reliability and performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions for

Qualifications

Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.

Responsibilities

Architect, design and implement core system software components for cloud database services.
Lead and mentor engineers; drive reliability, performance and scalability of distributed databases.
