Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in Ireland to join the Test & Learn team. You will pioneer analytics research, applying machine learning, causal inference, and generative AI to real-world business challenges for customers globally.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business leaders to translate findings into scalable products and decisions, mentor teammates, and drive impactful analytics initiatives across high-volume datasets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science or equivalent graduate coursework.
• Experience applying machine learning, causal inference, and/or generative/agentic AI to real-world problems.
• Strong technical aptitude and business acumen to identify commercial applications.
• Experience applying analytics to high-volume datasets to influence business decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Exceptional project management, with ability to manage multiple workstreams and timelines.
• Mentor teammates and foster a growth-oriented team culture.
• Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Drive research of new functionality within analytics platform used by large organizations to support multi-million-dollar decisions.
• Collaborate with product management to understand customer needs requiring analytic solutions.
• Partner with engineering to guide implementation of analytic ideas into products.
