Optum's Payment Integrity Decision Intelligence team seeks a Senior Data Scientist to drive AI/ML initiatives in healthcare data analytics. You will work with business stakeholders to deliver measurable value, deploying models into production and sustaining performance in a hybrid work model in Ireland.

The role requires strong data science competence, Python/SQL expertise, and experience with ML frameworks in production environments. Ireland-based applicants welcome a flexible work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics or Data Science or a related technical field.
• Proven extensive experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets.
• Proven experience leading complex data science projects in cross-functional teams and deploying ML models in production.
• Proven experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and ML, plus Spark and Git/GitHub.

Responsabilités

• Apply advanced statistical and predictive modelling to design and deploy data science solutions to production.
• Lead discovery with Data Scientists and define business requirements.
• Conduct statistical analyses and frame meaningful business scenarios.
• Collaborate with partners to gather data and validate suitability for analysis.
• Design sampling, evaluation methodologies and document processes and results.
• Communicate analytical results clearly to business partners and clients.
• Monitor solution performance and propose improvements.
