Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the enterprise data platform operations, improve reliability and drive cloud-based data solutions. You will lead data pipelines, governance, security and collaboration with stakeholders while implementing modern DataOps practices and integrating Microsoft Fabric, Purview and Azure services.

The role requires strong experience with Azure SQL, Power BI and data warehousing, plus a proven track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

6+ years in data engineering or similar role with production ops experience.
Strong Azure data tech experience, esp. Azure SQL and Power BI.
Proven ability to build, maintain and troubleshoot data pipelines.
Experience with data governance, security controls and data quality.
Familiarity with DataOps, automation and monitoring practices.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Purview in data platforms.
Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.
Excellent stakeholder management and independent working capabilities.
Awareness of AI and generative AI applications in data engineering.

Responsibilities

Oversee performance, availability and stability of enterprise data platforms.
Develop and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
Implement proactive monitoring, alerting and incident resolution.
Support cloud-based modernisation of data infrastructure.
Collaborate with tech teams, partners and stakeholders to meet requirements.
Establish data management practices including QA, access controls and governance.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt via automation and architecture.
Contribute to integration of Microsoft Fabric/Purview within data platforms.
