Job summary

The Information Lab Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver high-quality data solutions for our clients. This senior, hands-on role requires at least five years of professional Data Engineer experience and practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.

You will lead small project teams, translate business needs into robust, scalable data solutions, and work directly with clients to clarify requirements and communicate progress.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a Data Engineer delivering production data solutions.
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience with Lakehouse, Data Pipelines, Warehouses and Notebooks.
• Strong SQL, Python and PySpark for ingestion, transformation and analysis.
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines and medallion architecture.
• Knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling and Power BI semantic models.
• Git integration, CI/CD for data projects; data quality frameworks.
• Client-facing with ability to clarify requirements and present solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of client projects and guide small delivery teams.
• Design and deliver data engineering workstreams from design to deployment.
• Build end-to-end Fabric solutions including Lakehouse, Pipelines, Warehouses and Notebooks.
• Create data pipelines using SQL, Python and PySpark with clear data lineage.
• Document solutions, governance, and testing frameworks; ensure quality.
• Collaborate with clients; explain decisions and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain delivery standards and identify risks early.
