Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Dublin, Ireland seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural designs for AWS data centres in the EMEA region. You will work with Architects, Engineers and Designers to solve complex problems, guide technical decisions and ensure safe, cost-effective facilities.

The role emphasizes governance, coordination with internal customers, and the ability to adapt AWS reference designs to local requirements while maintaining quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain structural Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications.
• Lead structural design on Data Centre projects and manage external design vendors.
• Coordinate with internal and external design engineers to ensure high standards of deliverables on schedule.
• Create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction; track cost, quality and duration of design.
