Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Dublin, Ireland, seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural designs for AWS data centres in the Europe, Middle East & Africa region. You will guide prototypical DC facilities, provide technical guidance, and ensure high standards of deliverables.

You will collaborate with Architects, Engineers and Designers to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain structural Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications.
• Structural Design lead on Data Centre projects with duties including: concept design, defining scope and deliverables, and engaging external vendors.
• Coordinate with internal and external design engineers; manage deviations to AWS reference design; track metrics related to cost, quality and duration of design.
