Job summary

Blackedge Consulting seeks an Electrical Engineering Lead for data centre programmes in Dublin. This client-side PMC role requires steering electrical design across substations, MV/LV distribution, UPS, and protection systems, while challenging designs to uphold high standards.

You will shape concept development, feasibility studies, and technical strategy, ensuring repeatable, reliable electrical solutions for hyperscale data centres.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering for large-scale data centres.
• Experience collaborating with contractors, design teams, consultants and vendors.
• Strong understanding of critical power architectures and reliability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering for data centre programmes and review designs to meet standards.
• Represent the client with technical direction across GC, design teams, and delivery partners.
• Contribute to concept development, feasibility, and development of repeatable electrical solutions.
• Oversee commissioning, energisation, testing and operational readiness for critical systems.
• Travel extensively to site locations and support projects outside Ireland.
