Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced CPU Verification Engineer based in Cork, Ireland, to lead functional verification for high-speed microprocessor cores and caches. The candidate will drive test plan development, test infrastructure, and cross-team coordination within AMD’s Core organization.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in small teams within a large cross-site organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in IP level ASIC verification.
• Experience with x86 assembly, C/C++, Perl, and Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• DFT/ JTAG-1149.x knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute functional verification of high-speed microprocessor designs across RTL and gate levels.
• Develop environments, infrastructure, and test plans for full-chip and block-level verification.
• Create and debug x86 assembly based tests and exercisers to validate microprocessor functionality.
• Coordinate with RTL, DFT, and implementation teams to drive deliverables and dependencies.
• Review coverage metrics and adjust tests to meet targets.
