Job summary

Ratio Recruitment is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Galway team.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of sectors including hotel/leisure, residential, commercial, retail, health and education, with opportunities to develop into leading commissions.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics and Management Degree.
• 5+ years’ relevant work experience preferable.
• Contractor background preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of commissions with growth potential to lead commissions in the short/medium term.
• Develop and enhance the service delivery methodology and supporting systems and tools.
• Estimating and producing cost estimates and cost plans.
• Compiling and amending tender lists and checking tenders.
• Drafting tender reports and managing variations and change control processes.
• Negotiating less complex matters and conducting interim valuations.
• Drafting monthly reports and analysing numbers for final accounts.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and designers to raise and convert growth opportunities.

My client is a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy who have gone through huge growth over the past few years. They are seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Galway

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects within their experienced Cost Management team. This includes in sectors like hotel/leisure, residential, commercial office, retail, health, education, data centres and infrastructure.

Duties:

• Lead the delivery of commissions secured by the practice with the intention for your responsibilities to develop to leading commissions in the short/medium term.
• Lead in the development and enhancement of the service delivery methodology and supporting systems and tools
• Estimating and producing cost estimates and cost plans
• Compiling and amending tender lists
• Checking and analysing tenders
• Drafting tender reports-Dealing with variations and the change control processes
• Negotiating less financially significant or complex matters
• Conducting interim valuations
• Drafting monthly reports
• Analysing the numbers for the final accounts
• Driving and sustaining a high level and quality of service delivery.
• Liaising with the client, contractors, designers, etc.
• Raise and enhance their market profile including identifying and converting growth and income opportunities.
• Assist in the development of a sustainable and successful business in line with defined strategic objectives.

Requirements:
