Job summary

ESB is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for Networks Telecoms to lead the end-to-end contract portfolio across large capital and operational programmes. You will shape governance, drive procurement, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Safety and delivery teams to deliver value and compliant outcomes.

The role requires 7–10 years in contract management, strong leadership, and a track record in complex multi-supplier environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant contract management experience.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end contract lifecycle and governance.
• Experience developing procurement plans and delivery models.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams (Procurement, Legal, Finance).
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with value-for-money focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Networks Telecoms Contracts Management, establishing governance and processes.
• Own the contract portfolio from demand through mobilisation, delivery and close-out.
• Develop a 12–18 month procurement and contract pipeline.
• Lead major procurements and tenders with cross-functional teams.
• Develop fit-for-purpose contracting models (frameworks, EPC, turnkey).
• Standardise procurement processes and templates across teams.
• Maintain central contract register and reporting.
• Establish supplier relationship management and performance reviews.
• Oversee supplier performance via SLAs, KPIs, scorecards.
• Lead portfolio commercial management: forecasting, expenditure, change control, risk.
• Ensure safety, quality, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance in contracts.
• Report progress to leadership and governance boards.
• Build cross-functional relationships and coach contract owners.
• Improve data quality and reporting for future sourcing.
• Implement Contracts Management Strategy 2026–2030.
