Job summary

Sisk is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead a flagship Cork City project. You will be the on-site leader responsible for delivery, quality, safety and financial performance, coordinating contract aspects and upholding Sisk’s HSEQS standards.

You will drive project execution with the team, ensuring compliance, coordinating design and supply chain, and delivering timely completion while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering project management with delivery of multiple projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methods; able to manage project financials, risk and commercial outcomes.
• Working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Design & Build contracts; familiarity with sustainability standards (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, or CEEQUAL).
• Strong leadership, people management and conflict resolution capability, with effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical, methodical approach and strong commercial awareness.
• Professional qualification in a construction-related field; ideally chartered.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) Health & Safety certification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator and Excavation Safety training.
• Knowledge of permitting requirements for live energy works.
• Training/competence in Working at Heights, Scaffolding, and Lifting & Cranage operations.
• Familiarity with Behavioural Safety, Root Cause Analysis, and PSCS/CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of project programmes, method statements and contract submissions.
• Develop and manage contract programme, in collaboration with Estimating during tender stage.
• Instruct the QS on major preliminary expenditure.
• Chair project start-up and production meetings; support resource allocation.
• Oversee subcontract buying schedule; notify authorities; draft site logistics; attend Design Team Progress meetings.
