Job summary

Sisk is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead on-site delivery for a major Cork City project. You will oversee programme, safety, quality and financial performance, coordinating across teams and subcontractors to meet client expectations.

Essentially you will drive project execution, resource planning and commercial control while upholding Sisk’s safety standards and improving value through proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in a construction-related field (degree or equivalent), ideally chartered.
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) Health & Safety certification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator and Excavation Safety training.
• Knowledge of permitting requirements for live energy works.
• Training/competence in Working at Heights, Scaffolding, and Lifting & Cranage operations.
• Familiarity with Behavioural Safety, Root Cause Analysis, and PSCS/CDM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of project programmes, method statements and contract submissions.
• Instruct the QS on major preliminary expenditure including plant and temporary works.
• Chair start-up and production meetings; support resource allocation with the Regional Director.
• Coordinate design delivery and BIM as required by the contract.
• Maintain the Project Execution Plan with focus on HSE and Quality compliance.
• Monitor progress, manage information flows and CVRs; ensure timely completion.
• Lead subcontractor selection, meetings and performance monitoring.
• Drive defect management and final account preparation post‑construction.
• Support PDPs and development actions for the team.
