Job summary

PC House Limited is seeking a Computer Service Engineer to diagnose, repair and maintain laptops, desktops and related equipment for a range of manufacturers. You will inspect hardware, diagnose faults, replace components and perform BIOS/firmware updates as required.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering and possesses at least three years of hands-on hardware repair experience, with strong problem-solving and excellent customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years’ relevant experience in computer hardware repairs.
• Experience with motherboard and component-level diagnostics.
• Ability to use electronic testing and soldering equipment.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, BIOS and firmware.
• Good technical, problem-solving, communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive customers and obtain information about faults.
• Inspect and diagnose problems with laptops, desktops and components.
• Diagnose and repair motherboard and circuit-level issues.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters and other testing equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty components and perform tests after repair.
• Explain results and upgrade options to customers.
• Maintain records of diagnostics, repairs and test results.
