Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced compliance advisor to scale our crypto/stablecoin business by embedding compliance intelligence into our technical infrastructure. You will act as a strategic partner across GTM, Risk, and Ops to enable users while upholding rigorous regulatory standards.

You will lead the development of automated tools, guide complex user challenges, and communicate compliance requirements with authority and empathy in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in financial crimes compliance, with significant crypto/stablecoin exposure.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into clear, commercial language for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating complex user requests for compliance risk and enabling users while meeting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with GTM and business teams to identify compliance roadblocks and design compliant paths.
• Drive adoption and development of automated compliance tools and agents.
• Act as lead human-in-the-loop for novel challenges and high-stakes edge cases.
• Explain intricate compliance requirements to users and first-line teams with clarity and empathy.
• Architect flows for funds/data/API integration that meet obligations with minimal friction.
• Assess edge cases to distinguish unfamiliar from unsafe and maintain Stripe’s edge.
