Job summary

COPE Galway is seeking a Senior Support - Community Support Worker to deliver activities and day-to-day services for older people from the Sonas Social Centre in Renmore/Mervue and nearby areas. The role works as part of the Community Support Team to ensure responsive, person-centred support and safe, welcoming environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide one to one support to older people at risk of isolation.
• Plan and deliver a range of activities for older people in Mervue and surrounding areas.
• Ensure the centre is clean, welcoming and safe for use.
• Coordinate with residents to tailor activities and use of facilities.
• Adhere to health & safety requirements and complete administrative duties.
