Job summary

WESCO International, Inc. in Ireland is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to code, deploy and support large scale serverless architectures on Microsoft Azure.

You will design and develop enhancements, and build DevOps CI/CD pipelines with automation, while preparing system documentation and troubleshooting SQL queries. The role requires 5+ years of Azure experience, full stack skills (React/Redux/NodeJS), Terraform IaC, and scripting in Python/Go.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required.
• 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Azure technologies and services.
• Full stack development experience with React, Redux, and NodeJS (ES2015).
• Experience building automated DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automation servers (Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI).
• Ability to define CI/CD pipelines using JSON or YAML across environments.
• Strong Python/Go and Bash/PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows.
• Databases: NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) and Relational (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• IaC concepts with Terraform; Policy-as-Code and security in cloud environments.
• Understanding of enterprise networking (CIDR).
• Experience with Kubernetes and Azure deployments.

Responsibilities

• Code, deploy, and support large scale, serverless architectures.
• Design and develop enhancements to applications and new components.
• Design and develop automation opportunities.
• Build DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Prepare and present system documentation and SQL troubleshooting scripts.
• Manage deployment and source control of new application versions in cloud hosting.
• Perform Systems Administrator duties including log reviews and monitoring with tools like Splunk or New Relic.
• Set up Azure resources (load balancers, compute, databases).
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Prepare technical presentations and process documentation.
