Job summary

Luxoft in Dublin is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, automate, and operate highly available cloud infrastructure. You will work across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, focusing on reliability, security, and cost optimization while reducing toil through engineering-led automation.

The role covers infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident management in production, with on-call responsibilities and collaboration across DevOps, Security, and Platform

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/infrastructure experience with 5+ years AWS hands-on.
• Deep AWS production experience including design, deployment, troubleshooting.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration, scripting, and OS configuration.
• Terraform/Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• Scripting in Python or Shell for automation.
• Docker and Kubernetes/EKS experience in production.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices exposure.
• Monitoring/logging/observability with Splunk, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with DR/BCP, security best practices, and cost optimization.
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and compliance using IaC.
• Develop automation in Python or Shell and build self-service capabilities.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and apps.
• Support containerized platforms with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Implement robust observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Enforce security, IAM, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
• Lead on-call response and RCA for critical incidents.
• Collaborate with multi-team stakeholders and governance bodies.
