Job summary

Punch Consulting Engineers, a COWI company, is seeking a Senior Civil Technician to join our Ireland team in Dublin, Cork or Limerick. You’ll plan and manage drawings for roads and transportation projects, delivering to technical standards and reporting to the project manager.

The role requires a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering (NFQ Level 6) or equivalent, strong AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Civil 3D skills, and familiarity with Autotask and Causeway Flow.

Qualifications

  • NFQ Level 6 Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk Civil 3D essential.
  • Experience with Autotask and Causeway Flow is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills; commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil infrastructure drawings/details for roads and transportation projects.
  • Deliver drawings to technical standards, reporting to the project manager.
  • Oversee and check drawings by Junior Civil Technicians.
  • Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Attend design team meetings and carry out site inspections.

Towork with our teams in either Dublin, Cork or Limerick, we are looking for a Senior Civil Technician to join us. Working on the delivery of major structural projects you’ll plan and manage some of our most significant projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Preparing of civil infrastructure drawings / details for site development, roads infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, etc.
  • Deliver project drawings to the required technical standards in a timely manner reporting to the project manager.
  • Oversee and check standards on project drawings by Junior Civil Technicians.
  • producing 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • To carry out site inspections and attend Design Team meetings.
