Job summary

Punch Consulting Engineers, a COWI company, is hiring a Senior Civil Technician to join our Cork/Dublin/Limerick teams. You will prepare civil infrastructure drawings, manage project drawings, and collaborate with design teams on major infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & Civil 3D, with familiarity in Autotask/Causeway Flow and strong communication skills. Hybrid working options available in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Higher Certificate NFQ Level 6 in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D & Autodesk Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience using Autotask and Causeway Flow is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings is essential.
• Excellent communication and IT skills, with commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Preparing civil infrastructure drawings/details for site development and roads/transport infrastructure.
• Deliver project drawings to required technical standards in a timely manner reporting to the project manager.
• Oversee and check standards on project drawings by Junior Civil Technicians.
• Produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D model designs in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Carry out site inspections and attend Design Team meetings.

Towork with our teams in either Dublin, Cork or Limerick, we are looking for a Senior Civil Technician to join us. Working on the delivery of major structural projects you’ll plan and manage some of our most significant projects.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Preparing of civil infrastructure drawings / details for site development, roads infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, public health infrastructure, etc.
• Deliver project drawings to the required technical standards in a timely manner reporting to the project manager.
