Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Proven track record delivering major civil/structural projects.
• Experience as Project Manager or senior delivery role.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete, bridge works and temporary works.
• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Strong programming, project controls and commercial management.
• Ability to manage complex interfaces and multiple work packages.
• Awareness of health and safety and quality on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and structural works on a major motorway project.
• Lead site engineering, supervisory and subcontractor teams.
• Coordinate construction of bridges, retaining structures, precast elements, culverts.
• Manage activities from planning to handover.
• Ensure safety, drawings, specs, and client requirements.
• Develop construction programmes and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and site logistics.
• Provide technical leadership across civil/structural activities.
• Review RAMS, temporary works, and engineering solutions.
• Manage interfaces between permanent works, temporary works, earthworks and structures.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Oversee temporary works and approvals.
• Maintain temporary works registers, inspections and permits.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, and client requirements.
• Monitor progress and address delays.
• Collaborate with commercial teams on variations and compensation events.
• Support cost control and commercial performance.
• Liaise with client, designers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Lead site safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Drive high standards of safety, quality and delivery.
