Job summary

Arup in Ireland is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site infrastructure and utility design across diverse projects from concept to construction. You will manage deliverables, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide junior engineers to ensure quality and on-time performance.

Based in our Irish offices (Dublin/Cork), you’ll apply BIM with Civil 3D or Revit, liaise with clients and authorities, and contribute to sustainable, resilient infrastructure solutions across sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience in a consultancy environment.
• Must have chartered professional status, or similar recognised qualification.
• Strong site infrastructure technical design skills (surface water, foul, water, roads and carparks, earthworks, underground utility services coordination).
• Proven track record in project delivery of large-scale site infrastructure projects.
• Ability to technically lead and manage the design process on site infrastructure projects from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction.
• Highly experienced in the use of BIM (Civil 3D and/or Revit) to deliver coordinated site infrastructure designs as part of a multi-discipline project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of the civil engineering and utility design scope of site development projects.
• Be responsible for producing designs, drawings, 3D models, specifications and reports on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Represent Arup at client meetings, offering expert advice and developing innovative solutions.
