Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Ireland is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer - Water to lead and shape a team delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland.

You will oversee structural design delivery, manage programme and budget, mentor engineers, and act as a key link between multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 or higher).
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional recognition is required or highly desirable.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment.
• Experience in the water or infrastructure sector is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee structural design delivery, ensuring high-quality standards across all projects.
• Take ownership of project performance including programme, budget and resourcing.
• Act as a key link between multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the water sector.
• Drive business development activities including bids, tenders and framework opportunities.
• Support recruitment and growth of the structural team.
