Job summary

Coffey is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join its fast-growing engineering team in Maynooth. You will develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD designs for water, wastewater, roads, and concrete structures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and sustainable solutions.

The role requires a Level 8 Civil Engineering degree and a minimum of three years’ experience, with a hands-on, right-first-time approach and strong communication skills in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare construction-ready plans, layouts, sections, setting-out information and detailed drawings.
• Apply civil design principles with a mindset to innovate and improve.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our fast-growing engineering team. The Role

As a Civil Design Engineer you will work alongside a multidisciplinary design team to develop accurate and detailed engineering designs and drawings in support of the Design Department. You will contribute to projects that reflect Coffey’s commitment to safe, innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior design engineers in delivering civil engineering infrastructure designs, including water, wastewater, roads, and concrete structures.
• Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepare construction-ready plans, layouts, sections, setting-out information and detailed drawings.
• Apply sound understanding of civil engineering design principles while seeking opportunities to innovate and improve.
• Ensure all models and documentation comply with company BIM standards, protocols, and procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers and manage drawing revisions with accuracy
• Participate actively in design reviews, contributing positively to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Assist in preparing technical design reports and supporting documentation

About You

Required Skills:

• A Level 8 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• A practical, open-minded, hands-on approach and a desire to deliver work right first time.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
