Job summary

LS Hive in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Chartered Structural/Civil Engineer to lead design projects, provide technical oversight, and manage client relationships. The candidate should have a Chartered status, a Level 8 degree, and at least 10 years of post-graduate experience in the Irish engineering sector, with strong leadership and design software

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' post-graduate experience in the Irish engineering sector.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Level 8 Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural and civil design for varied projects (residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education).
• Undertake Design Certifier and Assigned Certifier duties under BCAR where required.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specs and technical documentation.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, Eurocodes and standards.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and authorities; manage project teams.
• Attend design reviews, meetings and site inspections.
• Manage drainage, roads, site development and infrastructure design.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship activities.
