Job summary

AA Euro Healthcare is recruiting an experienced Person in Charge (PIC) for a permanent full-time position in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The role offers leadership and operational management of a service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and autism.

You will lead a staff team, promote person-centred care, and work to align services with national standards. The ideal candidate has a recognised Social Care qualification, CORU eligibility, and at least 3 years in social care, with leadership

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
• CORU registration/eligibility, where applicable.
• 3+ years of relevant experience within Social Care/disability services.
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
• Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred and rights-based practice.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• A full clean driving licence and access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational management of the Service.
• Lead, supervise and support the staff team in delivering high-quality care and support.
• Promote a person-centred and rights-based approach across the service.
• Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and participate meaningfully within their communities.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with New Directions and relevant national standards.
• Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice and independence.
• Maintain high standards of governance, documentation and quality assurance.
• Develop positive working relationships with individuals, families, advocates and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Support staff development, supervision and performance.
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
