SENIOR C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER (DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS - NEW DEVELOPMENT)

Location: Munster (2 days a week Hybrid)

Salary: €80,000 to €110,000(depends on experience) + Bonus/Benefits

Overview

We are hiring multiple C++ engineers to build new large-scale distributed software systems. This is a rare greenfield opportunity within a global engineering organisation, working on complex, high‑performance systems in Linux with a mix of new development and integration with long-standing platforms.

What You'll Work On

• Designing and developing new distributed system components
• Building high-performance, scalable backend services in C++ (or C / Go / Rust backgrounds considered)
• Architecting and implementing new features within multi-node distributed environments
• Integrating new systems with legacy platforms and infrastructure
• Contributing to large, multi-million-line codebases running globally
• Working with senior engineers across multiple time zones on next-generation system architecture

Tech Stack & Skills

Must Have

• Strong experience with C++ (latest version)
• Prefer strong C as well with real distributed systems experience
• Deep understanding of:
  • Distributed systems principles
  • TCP/IP, networking, sockets
  • Concurrency, state management, fault tolerance
• Linux development experience
• Experience building large-scale, long-lived software systems
