ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager in Dublin to drive new commercial business, selling multimodal freight forwarding solutions (air, ocean, and road) to high-value accounts. Ireland residency and Irish freight forwarding experience are essential.

You will lead strategic pitches, engage with senior leaders, and collaborate with operations to ensure seamless onboarding, accurate job costing, and long-term client retention in a hybrid work setup.

• Build executive relationships with supply chain directors and C-suite decision-makers.

Note: Must have current Ireland residency and Irish freight forwarding sales experience.

In this role, you will drive new commercial business, targeting high-value accounts and providing strategic multimodal freight forwarding solutions (Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Road Freight) across global trade lanes.

Key Focus Areas:

• Multimodal Market Expansion: Target, prospect, and secure high-value commercial accounts across the Irish freight forwarding sector.
• Custom Freight Solutions: Design tailored air, ocean, and road freight supply chain models to solve complex client logistics needs.
• RFQ & Tender Leadership: Lead high-impact contract tenders, RFQs, and strategic commercial pitches to secure corporate freight business.
• Executive Relationship Building: Engage directly with supply chain directors, logistics managers, and C-suite decision-makers.
• Seamless Operations Handover: Collaborate with internal freight operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding, job costing integrity, and long-term retention.

Requirements:

• Proven freight sales track record within an Irish freight forwarding environment (essential).
• Demonstrated success hunting and closing new commercial business across air, ocean, or road freight forwarding.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a history of protecting gross profit margins.
• Self-starting drive to autonomously manage a high-volume logistics sales pipeline.
• Uncapped commission scheme, strong base salary (€60k-€95k DOE), and car allowance.
