Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking an experienced Air Export Operator in Dublin to manage end-to-end global air freight shipments. The role focuses on air export operations, carrier negotiations, and compliance within an international freight forwarding context.

You will handle bookings, documentation (MAWBs/HAWBs), cost control, and client updates while delivering proactive freight solutions in a vibrant Dublin team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of air export freight forwarding experience in Ireland.
• Strong knowledge of air export documentation and Irish export customs procedures.
• Experience with CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar air freight systems.
• Ability to prioritise high-volume shipments with tight airline cut-off times.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete air export freight lifecycle: bookings, routing, tracking.
• Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive air export rates and space.
• Draft MAWBs, HAWBs and ensure Irish Revenue export declarations are compliant.
• Serve as primary contact for air export clients with proactive transit updates.
• Manage air export job costing and client invoicing to maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Air Export Management: Oversee the complete air export freight lifecycle, handling bookings, routing, and tracking for time-critical air freight cargo.
• Freight Carrier Negotiation: Partner with commercial airlines, GSAs, and global freight partners to secure competitive air export spot rates and optimal cargo space.
• Export Customs & Compliance: Draft accurate air freight documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, and Irish Revenue export customs declarations in compliance with aviation security standards.
• Client & Freight Operations: Act as the primary point of contact for air export clients, offering proactive transit updates and strategic freight solutions.
• Financial Control: Manage air export job costing, audit incoming freight invoices, and issue client billing to maximize file profitability.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience dedicated to air export freight forwarding within Ireland.
• Strong knowledge of air export documentation, Known Cargo security rules, and Irish export customs procedures.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard freight management software (CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar air freight systems).
• Ability to prioritize high-volume air export shipments under tight airline cut-off times.
