Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor or someone progressing toward Chartership to join our growing Technical Due Diligence and Building Surveying team. You will support high-profile property transactions in Ireland with opportunities to work on UK and European assignments.

You will deliver TDD and related advisory services across diverse commercial assets, providing clear, trusted advice that informs investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying and RICS qualified (or APC journey).
• Excellent technical ability.
• Multi-discipline experience.
• Broad thinker with global view and delivery capability.
• Ability to manage project risk.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) advice and reporting across a range of asset types, clearly identifying, quantifying and prioritising asset risks, with commercially focused recommendations to support informed investment decisions.
• In addition to TDD, undertake professional technical consultancy services including, asset condition surveys and dilapidations.
• Preparation and submission of planning applications, Fire Safety Certificates and Disability Access Certificates to local authorities, in full compliance with Irish building regulations.
• Manage and coordinate project procurement and delivery, including preparation of tender documents (schedules of work, detailed drawings, and specifications), tender analysis and contractor appointments; and maintain oversight of works to drive quality.
• Act as Assigned Certifier under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BC(A)R), overseeing compliance and certification throughout the construction process.
• Take accountability for delivering a high-quality client experience, ensuring outputs are clear, timely, and aligned with client expectations.
• Ensure clear and effective communication across project teams, providing accurate and timely information to support successful project delivery with efficient financial control.
