Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Scientist for our Biopharma team. The role centers on in‑lab testing, method development, transfer, and validation with hands-on leadership and technical coaching for Scientists I and II.

The Senior Scientist conducts complex testing, resolves issues, and contributes to data quality and protocols while ensuring GMP compliance and integrity in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic qualification.
• 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training & experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform complex laboratory testing and support method development, transfer or validation.
• Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to Scientist I and II staff.
• Escalate and resolve analytical issues with appropriate stakeholders.
• Apply advanced scientific judgment to data interpretation, execution strategy and problem resolution.
• Develop subject matter expertise in one or more analytical methods, assays, or platforms.
• Lead or technically contribute to non-routine deliverables such as methods, protocols, and reports.
• Support transition of improved methods into routine testing and maintain data integrity.
